United States Immigrants Center

About USIC

A woman-founded, woman-led nonprofit protecting immigrants in the United States — and building their voice on the world stage.

Our story

USIC — United States Immigrants Center — was founded in 2023 on a simple conviction: no one should face the immigration system alone.

What began as frontline immigration support has grown into something bigger: a women’s protection program built from real casework, and a voice reaching toward the international stage. We work in the gap — where policy fails and people fall through.

Mission

To protect and empower immigrants in the United States through trusted legal support, women’s protection programs, and a growing voice in global migration policy.

Vision

A United States where every immigrant — especially women and children — lives free from violence, exploitation, and fear.

What we believe

01

Dignity first

Every person who walks through our door is treated as a whole human being, not a case number.

02

Trust is earned

We show up, we follow through, and we tell the truth — even when it’s hard.

03

Women lead

We are woman-founded and woman-led, and we build power with migrant women and girls.

04

No one is disposable

Immigration status never determines a person’s worth — or their right to safety.

Our founder

Daniele Oliver is the founder, president, and executive director of USIC. A Brazilian immigrant, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and an MBA in Project Management, and works fluently in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. She built USIC from frontline immigration casework — humanitarian visas, detained families, and survivors of trafficking and abuse — into an organization with a growing voice in migration policy. Under her leadership, USIC has supported 4,500+ immigrants and prepared 2,200+ USCIS filings since 2023. (Figures from USIC program records.)

USIC – United States Immigrants Center is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization incorporated in North Carolina.
